We have welcomed guests from many different countries aged 18 to 60 over the past 10 years, while staying with us they are treated as family. Many go on to be lifelong friends.

Duties: Mornings and evenings are spent feeding and checking the horses, cattle, dogs, cats and kittens! Spring is our busy time when the calves and foals are born. We start training the last year’s foals during the winter using the natural horsemanship method.

Help will be given in learning this if you are not familiar with it. Horses need to be ridden every day around the ranch and we frequently use them to sort and move cattle from pastures. Spring is also when a lot of ranches have brandings and there could be the opportunity to help out with these.

In summer we will load up the horses and trailer them to another area where the cows spend their summer and the riding is in beautiful pastures with a river. In winter the days are cold but sunny and there is still plenty of ranch activity along with regular cattle drives.
